The cars that are about to be mentioned may never be seen physically by 1% of the 7 billion people in the world because, in addition to being super expensive, they are also very rare.
- Rolls Royce Boat Tail
The Boat Tail is quite a sensory feast. This latest project by Rolls-Royce is one of only three commissioned nautical-inspired custom-built motor cars. Walking around its elongated silhouette, the body appears as a singular clear surface, uninterrupted by panel breaks. At the rear, the sailing boat theme becomes clear. With a press of a button, in a gesture inspired by architect Santiago Calatrava’s cantilever concepts, the deck opens in a theatrically sweeping butterfly form to reveal an intricate hosting suite complete with a bespoke champagne chest, two bottles of Armand de Brignac vintage cuvée, caviar and blinis. Finally, cocktail tables open on either side of the deck providing access to a couple of picnic stools. The Boat Tail is all about these unexpected pleasures.
This car is sold for $28 million with only three units being made. The Boat Tail is powered by a 6.7L Twin-Turbo V12 engine and produces a whopping 571 horsepower.
- Bugatti La Voiture Noire
The Bugatti La Voiture Noire is a one-off model car. It costs $18.7 million. Under its hood sits an 8.0L W16 Quad Turbo engine which produces 1500hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque. This car is owned by star footballer, Christiano Ronaldo.
This car was built in commemoration of Bugatti’s 110-year anniversary.
- Bugatti Centodieci
The Bugatti Centodieci (Italian for “110”) is a limited-production mid-engine sports car produced by French automotive manufacturer Bugatti. The car is a homage to the Bugatti EB110 and a celebration of the Bugatti marque’s 110th birthday.
The car sold for $9.7 million. It is powered by a 8.0L Quad Turbo W16 and has 1600 horsepower. This beast goes from 0-124mph in just 6.1 seconds.
- Pagani Huayra
This car cost $6.7 million and only three units were made. A 6L twin-turbocharged V-12 lives in the middle of the car. The car produces 840 horsepower and 811 lb-ft.
Able to seat up to two passengers, the Huayra’s interior has a look that’s distinctly artisanal. The attention to detail is extraordinary, and you get the sense that every aspect of the cabin’s design was lavished with care.
- Aston Martin Victor
Victor is a one-off unique creation from the Aston Martin automobile. It’s an Eighties concept car, arrived 40 years late. Either way, the cabin is beautifully made. This is perhaps the most impressive aspect of the whole car. It’s a one-off cockpit, bearing little in common with either the Vulcan or One-77 so the investment is not only in making it properly but fundamentally redesigning it, is huge.
The car uses a 7.3 NA V12 engine and has 863 horsepower and a torque of 606 lb-ft. The price for this car is undisclosed.
- Mclaren Sabre
This $4.98 million car has only 15 units produced. Under its hood is a 4.0 V8 Twin Turbo engine with 824 horsepower and torque of 590 lb-ft. The top speed of this car is 218mph and it has a seating capacity of two passengers only.
- Gordon Murray T50s Niki Lauda
The GMA T.50 or Gordon Murray Automotive Type 50 is a sports car manufactured by Gordon Murray Automotive. Designed by Gordon Murray and inspired by the McLaren F1, the T.50 is powered by an all-new bespoke 3,994 cc (4.0 L) naturally aspirated V12 engine developed by Cosworth.
This car is one of the most extreme vehicles on the planet.
Only 25 units were built and it cost $4.3 million.
- Bugatti Chiron Super Sport
The Chiron Super Sport will have the same power output as the 300+ but will be limited to 440 km/h (273 mph). It also has the capability to accelerate from 0–200 km/h (0–124 mph) in 5.8 seconds and from 0–300 km/h (0–186 mph) in 12.1 seconds.
This car is said to make the insane seem sane. Your life does flash in front of you the first time you floor the Chiron’s accelerator and unleash the W-16’s gas-fired hell on the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Launch control brings the engine to about 2500 rpm, allowing the Super Sport to build some boost before takeoff.
The car is said to be sold for $3.9 million.
- Koenigsegg Jesko
With its cavernous gills, sinewy haunches, and splayed tail, the Jesko looks fast and fearless. The Koenigsegg Jesko is motivated by a twin-turbocharged 5.0-litre V-8 generating 1280 horsepower and 1106 lb-ft of torque on pump gas. Only 125 units were made and they each cost $4.1 million.
The Koenigsegg Jesko seats two passengers and comes with a detachable hardtop that allows you to enjoy open-air driving.
- Lamborghini Sian Fkp 37
The Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is a mid-engine hybrid sports car produced by the Italian automotive manufacturer Lamborghini. The Sián is the first hybrid production vehicle produced by the brand.
The Sian costs $3.6 million. Beneath its hood lodges a 6.5L V12 engine plus hybrid supercapacitors. It produces 819 horsepower and goes from 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds. Its top speed is 352km/h.
