If you travel a lot across Nigerian roads, this is certainly the car for you as it perfectly suits Nigerian roads. Toyota Tacoma is an offshoot of the Toyota Tundra which is a personal favourite. But when compared to a Tundra, the Tacoma is slightly smaller and not so sophisticated.
We think Toyota Tacoma will enter a new generation for the 2024 model year. We currently only know a few things for sure, such as the fact it’ll ride on Toyota’s new TNGA-F architecture, which is a body-on-frame platform that also underpins the new Tundra and forthcoming Sequoia and 4Runner.
We also have an artist’s illustration that suggests what a new Tacoma TRD Pro could look like. If the Tundra’s new design is any indication, its little brother will have a similarly familiar grille, lighting elements, and distinctive fender bulges. We expect to learn more about the new Taco next year and believe it might debut as a 2024 model.
2023 Toyota Tacoma Trims
Toyota is applying some mild updates to its midsize and full-size pickup trucks. Specifically, they’re each getting some new trim packages. The 2023 Toyota Tacoma will get an SX Package and a Chrome Package, and the Tundra will only get the former. The 2023 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck comes in six trims. SR, SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited and TRD Pro.
2023 Toyota Tacoma Interior
The interior of this automobile has not yet been disclosed by its manufacturer, Toyota. Regardless, we expect it to be better than the previous model with nicer materials and modern features. It is also expected that like a Toyota Tundra, the cabin should be roomier in comparison with the current model. Toyota Tacoma is the only mid-size truck that offers a manual transmission and it is most likely to continue that way with the 2023 model.
The current model sports an 8.0-inch touchscreen, so we could definitely see Toyota adding a 14.0-inch touchscreen like the Tundra. We hope they match the competition by including a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

2023 Toyota Tacoma Safety Features
Standard on all 2023 Tacoma models, Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS) includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert and Automatic High Beams.
Every Tacoma is also equipped with the Star Safety System, which includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRAC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA) and Smart Stop brake override technology (SST). Tacoma also features driver and front passenger Advanced Airbag System, driver and front passenger knee airbags and front and rear Roll-sensing Side Curtain Airbags.
Active head restraints for Tacoma’s front seats are designed to move up and slightly forward during a rear-end collision to help reduce the risk of whiplash. A Tire Pressure Monitor System is also standard.
2023 Toyota Tacoma Buying Guide
If you plan to do a lot of travel on our Nigerian roads, TRD Off-Road will offer more than enough capability. But those after maximum trail readiness can spring for the TRD Pro. The driving dynamics of a Toyota Tacoma are sloppy. The manual gear may also pose a problem for many. A Chevrolet works better with automated gear and more cabin room.

Toyota has released very sparse information about this automobile and the release date is still unknown. Hopefully, the automobile will exceed our expectations when it is finally made available to the public.
