Boma’s life has been full of ups and downs. Though having his origin in Delta State, Boma grew up in Yaba, Lagos State. He was raised by his mother and grandmother and had to make ends meet for himself to go through school. Unfortunately, he had to drop out in his final year at the University as he couldn’t pay the bills on time.

Boma Akpore has his primary and secondary school education in Lagos. He then went to the University of Lagos to get his degree, but unfortunately, he couldn’t stay through till the end. Being a dude with an unrelenting positive approach to life, Boma saved up enough money from his side hustles to enrol in a movie school where he graduated with good grades.

Boma Akpore is a multifaceted young man, he is skilful at a number of crafts. He is a successful model, actor, masseuse, and former football player.
In 2003, he was scouted by his childhood best friend’s older brother, Ola Olowu, who worked for TBWA, a well-known advertising agency in Nigeria. His time with Ola Olowu kick-started his modelling career which has carried him to various countries across the World. Subsequently, he was chosen for a campaign by MTN, one of Nigeria’s biggest telecommunication organizations. He partook in Nigeria Fashion Week, 2004 as the youngest model to grace this remarkable event.
Fortune smiled on Boma Akpore in the early days of his modelling career. He went on to model for top designers, the likes of Ralph Lauren, Valentino, Hermes, Emmy Collins, Christian Door, Nobel Afrik, JD7 Couture, Vivid Imagination, and lots more. He has also modelled for top beverage organizations like Guinness, CocaCola, Heineken, Harp, etc. In addition, he has also modelled for telecommunication giants like Glo, MTN, and Nokia.
London came calling in 2008 as Boma emerged as the only Male Model for Music from West Africa to participate in The Runway Charity Fashion Show. He was also the only Nigerian-based model to be invited to the Haute African Fashion show in Dallas, Texas in 2010.
In 2011, Boma Akpore also made a dive for football. He played soccer for the New York Irish Rovers and won the league cup in the Long island Football League Division, in 2012. Taking his football skills to the next level, he travelled to Belgium in 2013. But however, he could not continue due to injuries and inability to get a work permit.
Advancing in his modelling career, Boma Akpore travelled to New York in 2011. He worked as an in-store model for Ralph Lauren and was also featured in New York Fashion Week, 2011/2012.
While in New York, Boma Akpore enrolled in New York Film Academy. He has been featured in highly-viewed TV shows like featured on TV shows such as The Blacklist and Law & Order. He was also featured in the historic movie by award-winning actor, Hill Harper’s Protector of the Gods as Azibo. While he was in his acting career, he made ends meet by working as a bartender by night and a masseuse during the day.
