Ramsey Nouah Biography 

Ramsey Nouah is a 51 years old Nigerian actor born on the 19th of December, 1970 in Lagos, Nigeria, to a Yoruba mother (Magret Afolabi) and an Israeli father (Ramsey Nouah Sr). 

His mother hails from Owo, Ondo State in Nigeria. Although a Nigerian, he is equally biracial and it’s unknown if he’s an only child or has other siblings. 

His father abandoned his mother when Ramsey was 2 years old and was solely raised by his mother through the years. During an interview with Sahara TV in 2014, he stated that it’ll be hard to recognize his father now since he left when he was still very tender.

Raising him was an ordeal for his single mother who solely catered to the responsibilities of meeting his requirements despite being born into riches while his father was still around. 

He did his primary education in Surulere where he received his First School Leaving Certificate from Atara Primary School in Lagos, Nigeria. 

For secondary school, Ramsey attended Community Grammar School in Lagos, Nigeria, where he also obtained his West African Senior School Certificate.

Ramsey enrolled for Diploma at the University of Lagos where he pursued a degree in Public Media. Although he dropped out before he could finish, Ramsey Nouah is today ranked as wealthy as many others who completed a University degree. 

When it comes to family, Ramsey tries to keep private business private. As such, there’s no trace of his wife, Emelia Philips-Nouah, aside from the fact that the couple got married in 2002 and have three children (two boys—Quincy & Joshua Nouah, and one daughter—Elizabeth/Desiree Nouah).

At an early age, Ramsey was active in state productions and was a miner of his school drama club shucks in secondary school. He demonstrated his immense talent for acting and character interpretation. 

According to Nouah, he entered the acting world due to financial limitations. He needed money to register for his annual external exams, and he tried all he could to acquire it. 

As a result, he took his friends, who had noticed his raw acting skills, and went to an audition, which marked the start of his career in the Nollywood industry. 

Over the years, Ramsey has appeared in several Nollywood movies. He had an appearance in a film in 1990. The next year, he landed a role in the television series Mega Fortunes, which aired from 1993 to 1994, and also catapulted him to the limelight. 

Despite starting out in 1990, it was until 1996 that he gained widespread recognition when he co-starred in Silent Night alongside veterans such as Alex Usifo, Kate Henshaw, Joke Silva and Segun Arinze. 

He was later cast again by the same producers in Quiet Night 2, a sequel to the previous year’s Silent Night.
