This Ford Mustang Mach 1 vehicle that was found inside a barn where it’s been locked up for 40 years has to be one of the best vehicles in the history of the Ford Mustang.
It’s not just due to the vehicle’s legendary status but because it was trapped inside a barn for 40 years. Despite how many years its been hidden away, the vehicle was still in perfect condition when it was finally pulled out.
However, the challenge was getting it out of the barn. The Ford Mustang Mach 1 was tucked away at the back of the barn, with several other vehicles and farm machinery blocking its path.
To actually get it out, the guys in the video had to take the barn apart, removing its sheet metal exterior.
The last time this vehicle was registered was in 1979. Nobody remembers the last time it was driven, but it’s thought to have been tucked away in the barn in the late 70s or early 80s.
When the vehicle was finally removed from the barn, it maintained a remarkably good condition as the interior, with the paintings and colours still intact, even though the car was covered in dirt when it was first found.
The YouTube video showed how long it took to remove the cobwebs and dirt littered on the car. After it was cleaned thoroughly, the Ford Mustang Mach 1 immediately started, surprising everyone with how active the vehicle is even though it’s not moved in 40 years.
