Alexander Abolore Adegbola Akande popularly known as 9ice AKA Alapomeji he is a Nigerian musician and politician, he was born on the 17th of January 1980.
He is from a polygamous home with five wives and nine children, in Ogbomosho, Oyo State in the Western part of Nigeria. He was raised in Bariga, a suburb of Lagos. 9ice all his life has dreamt of being a musician, which led him to drop out of school, the Lagos State University whilst studying Law. 9ice began to involve in music when he was age 14, his parents discovered how gifted he was in music, and they decided to allow him to become a musician.

9ice recorded his first demo titled Risi de Alagbaja in 1996, but it was until the year 2000 that he released his first official solo song Little Money, the song was slightly accepted in Nigeria. In 2008, he released the single Gongo Aso, With the song gaining popularity and accepted all over the country, 9ice was invited to perform at the Nelson Mandela 90th Birthday Tribute concert in London, the United Kingdom in June 2008 alongside other A-list artists. He then proceeded to claim the Best Hip Hop Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards.
The Gongo Aso song won him four different awards at the 2009 edition of the Hip Hop World Awards which was held at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, Album of the Year, Artiste of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Rap in Pop Album categories awards.

Sometime in January 2014, 9ice announced his plans officially to run for political office in the 2015 elections as a House of Representatives member, representing the Ogbomoso North Constituency, Oyo state National Assembly. He contested for the seat under the political party APC but he lost at the party primaries election.
