Alex Iwobi born Alexander Chuka Iwobi is a Nigerian professional footballer who currently plays as a Winger and a Forward for Everton club and the Nigerian national team- Super Eagles. He was born on the 3rd of May 1996 to Nigerian parents. His father Chuba Iwobi is a Lawyer, and his mother is the sister of popular JayJay Okocha.
In 1998, when Alex Iwobi was two years old, his family moved out of Nigeria to Turkey, and when he was four years old, his family again moved to England to be with his uncle, JayJay Okocha. Alex grew up in Newham, London, and here he learnt how to play football in the neighbourhood with his friend, Tyrell. At the age of eight, Alex Iwobi was already a member of the Arsenal club, while still in Primary school.

His first appearance as a professional footballer came when he was 17 years old in a League Cup, where he played as an unused substitute against West Bromwich Albion in September 2013. He sealed a long-term contract with Arsenal in October 2015. Throughout his career at the Arsenal club, he made 149 appearances and scored 15 goals. On 8th August 2019, he moved to Everton on an initial transfer fee of 28 million pounds, which was raised to 34 million pounds.
For Nigeria, he made his international debut in Nigeria in October 2015 and was part of the national team at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 AFCON.
