When shopping for a sedan, it’s important to make sure that you have all your boxes checked. Does it have enough room for all of your friends and family? Does it have all of the features that you need?

And, most importantly, considering the price of fuel in the country, how fuel-efficient is it? Luckily, Toyota has a few very fuel-efficient sedans to choose from, all of which get over 40 mpg, according to Fueleconomy.gov.

These Toyota sedans include:

The Toyota Camry Hybrid

There’s no denying that the Toyota Camry has been one of the best sedans that you could buy over the past 30 years, and it just keeps getting better and better. Aside from a host of unique styling and tech features, the Camry also has a hybrid counterpart if fuel efficiency is what you seek.

The Camry Hybrid is powered by a 2.5-litre engine that’s mated to an electric motor for a combined power output of 208. However, what’s more important is that it’s able to achieve an EPA-estimated 44 mpg in the city and 47 mpg on the highway.

The Toyota Corolla Hybrid

If you need a smaller sedan, then the Toyota Corolla is always a solid choice. With all of the safety and tech features that you would ever need, coupled with a smooth ride and the renowned reliability that you would expect, the Corolla can fit just about anyone’s lifestyle.

And for those with longer commutes, the Corolla Hybrid could fit the bill even more so. Fortunately, opting for that version will get you an EPA-estimated 53 mpg in the city and 52 mpg on the highway.

The Toyota Avalon Hybrid

The Toyota Avalon exudes all of the space and comfort that you would need with Lexus-like execution. Aside from its luxurious amenities and a plush ride, the Avalon is also offered in a hybrid variant for anyone needing to maximize their mileage during their daily drives or on long trips.

By checking the box for the hybrid option, you will be glad to know that you will be able to get up to an EPA-estimated 43 mpg in the city and a matching 43 mpg on the highway. Considering the Avalon drives so smoothly, you probably won’t even notice all of the filling stations that you drive past.

The Toyota Prius

The Toyota Prius is able to achieve stellar fuel economy ratings to the tune of 54 mpg in the city and 50 mpg on the highway, according to the EPA. Also, the Toyota Prius Prime is able to achieve an EPA-estimated 133 MPG. But after the 25 miles of all-electric driving is used up, you can still expect to get around 54 mpg in combined driving.

Conclusion

If you are in the market for any fuel-efficient Toyota vehicles, any models of these above-listed vehicles will serve you efficiently. That includes their used models.
