Napoli and the Nigeria national team forward Victor Osimhen is a professional footballer from Nigeria. On December 29, 1998, he entered the world in Lagos, Nigeria.
Osimhen started out his professional career with Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria before making the move to the German club Wolfsburg in 2017. He then spent time on loan with Belgian club Charleroi and French club Lille, where he enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2019–20, scoring 18 goals in Ligue 1 and was named the league’s Young Player of the Year.
Osimhen became the most expensive African footballer in history when he signed with Italian club Napoli in July 2020 for a rumoured sum of €70 million. Since then, he’s been an integral part of the team, scoring goals and leading Napoli to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
Since 2017, Osimhen has been a member of the Nigeria national team. In September 2019, he scored his first goal for Nigeria in a friendly match against Ukraine. Later, in November of 2020, he scored a hat trick for his nation in a 4-4 tie against Sierra Leone.
