From time to time, every vehicle manufacturer gives their vehicles a redesign. It doesn’t matter how attractive the previous design is; manufacturers can upgrade to something much better. Over time, cars, SUVs, and trucks look outdated and less appealing to customers, especially when vehicles in their category have been redesigned.

Redesigning vehicles is a way for manufacturers to maintain their vehicles’ relevance. One vehicle that seems to be losing attention is the Nissan Titan. It’s been a long while since it was redesigned, and many are now wondering when it’ll get a significant new update.

Why The Outdate Nissan Titan Truck Needs A Redesign Badly

For years, the Nissan Titan has remained at the bottom of the list for most consumers. With competition like the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, Ram 1500, and even the Toyota Tundra. Yet, the Nissan is far from making the top of the list where these other trucks are concerned.

Hopefully, a full redesign will help it measure up to these other full-size trucks with which it’s in the same category. According to Edmunds, the 2023 Nissan Titan is still part of the second generation of the model that started in 2016. Now, it has a seven-year-old exterior and interior design. No surprise the Titan looks outdated.

The Engine Lineup Of The Nissan Titan Is Also Outdated

In addition to the overall design, the Nissan Titan could use an engine redesign too. The powertrain lineup will benefit from more options. Every Titan comes with a 5.6-litre V8 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque.

Unfortunately, this standard V8 engine isn’t good enough. Other full-size trucks have some variety. For instance, a smaller V6 engine enables customers to pay less for a truck if they don’t need a V8 engine. Another will be introducing a hybrid engine option for fuel efficiency.

Conclusion

The Nissan Titan needs a redesign as soon as possible. Many competitors of the Titan have received impressive new redesigns. The more Nissan avoids giving the vehicle a redesign, the more buyers will continue to dislike the vehicle and forget it.
