A group of Ghanaian men and a woman set off on an adventurous trip travelling from Accra to London by road, and after 16 days of being on the road, the group finally arrived in London.
The group of 13 members set off towards the end of July to embark on the Accra to London trip. They started off with 8 cars but along the journey, 3 broke down leaving them with only 5 cars to travel with.
The cars the group travelled with include 2 Toyota Land Cruisers, 1 Mercedes G-Wagon, 1 Ford F-150 and 1 Lexus RX 350.
Before arriving in London, they made many stops in several other countries like Morocco, Spain and others before they successfully arrived in London on the 7th of August, 2023, covering a 10,000km driving distance.
Reports note that while preparing for the trip, the group had to attempt climbing the tallest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania last year, in preparation for their 10,000km drive from Accra to London.
While the trip was a fun experience, the group noted that they embarked on it in order to raise funds to promote digitalization in Ghanaian and Kenyan communities.
