The bid to have a more environmentally friendly kind of automobile in Nigeria has been one of the major drives behind the rise of electric and CNG cars. No more do we need to suffer the dangerous effects of inhaling the exhaust from petrol or queue daily with our hard-earned money to buy fuel. Particularly if you are a Nigerian, you will agree that the price of petrol increases from time to time—right now a litre costs between N950 and N1200 per litre, depending on where you are buying from. Electric cars are a welcomed alternative.

Switching to electric cars is one way to contribute to a greener Nigeria. But it’s not just about being eco-friendly. Electric cars also offer lower running costs, reduced maintenance needs, and a quieter, smoother ride. A few weeks ago, a trending video of Innoson Electric Cars was all over the internet with sustainability and luxury in one package.

Today, the automobile company has released three new electric vehicles—IVM Link, IVM EX01, and IVM EX02—with zero mileage to suit different driving needs and preferences in Nigeria, with a focus on the Innoson IVM EX02.

Here’s All You Need to Know About IVM Electric Vehicle Models:

With a range of 330-400KM, IVM announced its focus on the Innoson IVM EX02 which ranks as the epitome of luxury, performance, and efficiency. With a powerful 330-400KM range, you can say goodbye to range anxiety and enjoy longer trips without frequent recharges. Features include electric steering, front airbags, full air conditioning, power windows, and an advanced multimedia system. The automated rear-view mirror and remote control lock with sensors add to the premium feel of the vehicle.

In terms of intelligent configuration, the Innoson IVM EX02 is equipped with a new generation 540 ° surround view system, which can comprehensively grasp the road conditions around the body and bid farewell to blind spots in vision. Eight mainstream intelligent driving assistance functions, including ACC adaptive cruise control, can cope with traffic congestion, narrow road sections, and high-speed traffic during holidays. It is worth mentioning that the S3 also has fully automatic and remote parking functions, which are almost invisible in low-priced models.

Whether you’re navigating busy city streets or enjoying a smooth highway drive

It is compact, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 3.2 metres, 1.5 metres and 1.6 metres respectively, and the wheelbase is 2.1 metres which makes the vehicle have excellent handling and passability on city roads. It is equipped with LED headlamps and LED taillamps, enhancing the safety of night driving.

According to Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing, the Innoson IVM EX01 is for those who seek a balance between performance and affordability, the IVM EX01 offers a 201-230KM range with all the essential features that make driving an Innoson electric vehicle a pleasure. This model comes with a multimedia system, air conditioning, and electric steering. It’s perfect for daily commuting and city driving. It comes with a ground clearance of 150 mm and its dimensions are 3732 mm L x 1579 mm W x 1515 mm H.

Innoson further added we understand that the transition to electric vehicles is a journey, not a race. That’s why we continue to manufacture and offer petrol-powered cars for those who prefer them or need them based on their unique circumstances. Our petrol models still lead the market in reliability, performance, and affordability, but we’re proud to offer our customers more choices with our electric lineup. Whether you’re sticking with petrol for now or making the switch to electric, Innoson has the right vehicle for you.
