The car company Maserati partnered with Mattel, an American multinational toy manufacturing company, to create a limited edition car. The car is a limited edition of the Maserati Grecale that produces 530 horsepower.
Although partnering with a toy company, the first impression might be it’s a toy car. But it’s not a toy, it’s a real car that costs $330,000 per unit.
The car is painted pink with yellow accents for the rear bumper and the front grille. It is also festooned with “Barbie” badging all around.
In addition to the Barbie lettering on the front wheel arches, There’s a massive “B” on the C-pillar.
The gloss black wheels of the car complete the look, along with the carbon diffuser and the shiny tailpipes.
However, the cabin is a little less flashy. The seats are upholstered using a combination of black leather and sports fabric with contrast pink stitching.
The door panels are also painted pink, including the car’s centre console.
This car is based on the high-performance “Trofeo” version of the Grecale.
Under the car’s hood, a Maserati’s flagship v6 “Nettuno” engine produces 530 horsepower. The car goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 177 mph.
Maserati said only 2 units of this car would be built. The first unit will be sold to Neiman Marcus, a luxury retailer based in Los Angeles, at $330,000 (₦247,5000,00). The details about the second one are yet to be revealed.
