Jeep resurrects the Grand Wagoneer moniker for 2022, positioning it as a more luxurious version of the also-all-new Wagoneer. As a lifestyle brand that thrives on rugged imagery and serious off-road capability, Jeep enters uncharted territory with the luxury aspirations of the new 2022 Grand Wagoneer. Unlike its more mainstream counterpart, the Jeep Wagoneer (reviewed separately), the Grand version has the upscale content to compete with large luxury SUVs that feature six-figure price tags.
Standard on the Grand Waggy is an air suspension capable of 10.1in of ground clearance. Inside Is an ultra luxurious space with center captains chairs, fixed consoles and rear seats. A two spoke steeringhweel sports a Wagoneer logo and in the center is a large 12 touchscreen, Nappa leather a larger 12.3in digital instrument cluster, 10.3in HVAC touchscreen all standard. There is also real wood, aluminum trim with quilted leather. Passengers also get 10.1in screens like on a Taycan while rear passengers get screens too with Fire TV. There also is hands free Driving assist to rival Super Cruise. The Wagoneer also gets a McIntosh audio system with up to 23 speakers, 3D audio and more.
The new Grand Wagoneer will compete more with the Escalade, Navigator, or Range Rover. It is based on a truck body on frame architecture from the RAM 1500. Both new full-size Jeeps will be on sale in the summer starting at ₦28.1 million for the Wagoneer and ₦41.8 million for the Grand Wagoneer and comes in three trim levels, Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3. Outside is pretty much the same as the concept with all the flashy chrome, upgraded LED lights.
