A recent video that appeared online shows the moment Davido was spotted cruising Landmark, Lagos, with his brand-new car.
The vehicle is the 2023 Mercedes-Maybach S680, designed by the late fashion icon and designer Virgil Abloh, worth N400 million. Only 150 units of the luxury Maybach S680 were produced, and Davido happens to be one of the 150 owners of this vehicle across the globe.
Davido welcomed the vehicle into Nigeria on the 2nd of June, as he posted pictures of the Mercedes Maybach (which was delivered by air) saying: “Touch down Lagos! Where we Dey wash am this night!?”
The video that appeared online shows the singer as he made his way into Landmark at night in his limited edition Mercedes Maybach, as people standing around hailed the artist.
Purchasing the Mercedes Maybach also made Davido the first Nigerian man to drive a Virgil Abloh Mercedes Maybach and the only Nigerian owning 1 out of the 150 vehicle units.
