Tricycles popularly known as Keke are one of the most common means of transportation in Nigeria. Before now, they weren’t as popular in Nigeria until the Nigerian government saw them as a better replacement for the unsafety of Motorcycles.
Keke Napeps is fast becoming a lucrative venture for many low-income earners in Nigeria, as such, the need for it keeps increasing in the market even as many states now sanction drivers to move towards using tricycles instead of motorcycles.
In many ways, it’s a safer and more reliable transport option compared to motorcycles even though motorcycles are faster.
Innoson motors recognize the role Keke Napeps is playing in Nigeria as they’ve introduced the IVM brand into the Nigerian market.
The five-seater tricycle has joined Innoson’s lineup of vehicles which includes Connect, Caris, G20 Smart, Ikenga, G40 and G80.
Although the vehicle has undergone several road tests to ascertain its fitness for the Nigerian road, there’s yet to be an official release of its technical details and price. But one thing is certain, it’s going to pose fierce competition for foreign tricycle brands like Bajaj in the Nigerian market.
