Meet the 2024 Lexus LM minivan; no, it’s not exclusive to China. The LM will be sold in 60 countries including Europe and Japan for the first time, offering some wild features. This is the second generation LM and outside, it’s hard to tell that it’s a Lexus. Under the skin, it’s 50% stronger along with a new adaptive suspension actuator, and more. Inside is where the magic is though with 4,6, and 7-seat configurations.
The LM’s sliding side door opens to reveal a palatial interior complete with a pair of lounge-like chairs facing a 48-inch screen on a partition that separates passengers in the back from those in the front. All you have to do is raise the privacy glass, sink into the comfy-looking seats with their body-temperature-sensing tech, raise the ottoman that’s been redesigned for more range, and likely fall asleep as the new van’s quieter cabin cocoons you from the outside world.
Lexus even analyzed passenger body movements to develop the new seats. The 4-seat model is all Luxury with a partition, 48in the widescreen display, a refrigerator, lots of storage, heated seats, ottomans and armrests, and an advanced Climate system that detects the temperature in your face, chest, thighs, and legs to adjust accordingly. Also standard is the host of safety features.
