In Nigeria’s luxury auto scene, the Tesla Cybertruck is quickly becoming the ultimate status symbol. While exotic cars like the G-Wagon and Lamborghini still dominate Ikoyi and Lekki streets, a new contender is capturing attention — and it’s electric.

Known for its futuristic design, sharp angles, and silent but powerful drive, the Cybertruck is not for the faint of heart. It’s a big boy’s toy — and Nigeria’s top music stars are already on it. Let’s take a look at the top four Nigerian celebrities who now drive this groundbreaking vehicle.

What’s So Special About the Tesla Cybertruck?

The Tesla Cybertruck is unlike anything on Nigerian roads. It’s armoured, all-electric, and rugged enough to handle bad roads — from potholes in Port Harcourt to rain-washed streets in Ajah. Some of its standout features include:

  • Bullet-resistant stainless steel body
  • Up to 500-mile range per charge
  • Tri-motor all-wheel drive (AWD)
  • 0–100 km/h in under 3 seconds
  • Tesla’s Autopilot and 17-inch touchscreen

It’s futuristic, powerful, and screams presence — exactly the kind of car that turns heads in Banana Island.

Asake – Flexing Abroad, Still Trending at Home

Asake hasn’t driven his Tesla Cybertruck on Nigerian roads just yet, but he’s already made headlines with it. Seen cruising through London in early 2025, he shared clips online that had fans buzzing from Surulere to South Africa.

As one of the few Nigerian artists publicly spotted with the truck overseas, Asake’s move shows he’s not just following trends—he’s jumping ahead of them. His taste leans toward the bold and unconventional, and the Cybertruck matches that energy perfectly.

Davido – When Luxury Meets Loud

When Davido added a Tesla Cybertruck to his garage, it didn’t come as a surprise. Known for his love of high-end cars, the 30BG boss reportedly spent over ₦300 million on a fully customised version. Shipped in with a matte finish and unique interior lighting, it’s more than a car—it’s a showroom on wheels.

Davido has been seen with the truck in Lagos, often flanked by his usual convoy. For him, the Cybertruck is less about trend and more about taste. If you’re in Banana Island and see a vehicle that looks like a tank but moves like silk, chances are it’s Davido making an entrance.

Burna Boy – The Odogwu Rolling Electric

Back in 2024, Burna Boy was caught on camera cruising through Miami in what looked like something out of a sci-fi film—a Tesla Cybertruck, all stainless steel and raw edge. Not just any model either. Rumour has it he is one of four specially built “It’s The Weekend” editions. Sleek, silent, and unapologetically bold—very on-brand for the Grammy winner.

But it didn’t end there. Burna flew it into Nigeria, and since then, Lagos residents have seen him behind the wheel around Lekki, Banana Island, and sometimes VI. Whether it’s during night outings or casual drives, the “Odogwu” is showing us that high-end tech doesn’t have to shout to be loud.

The Cybertruck is different—and so is Burna. That’s what makes the pairing work.

Omah Lay – Lowkey Luxury, Loud Statement

Omah Lay doesn’t make noise, but his car choices do. In early 2025, he reportedly imported not one, but two Tesla Cybertrucks into Nigeria. Social media buzzed when one of the trucks was spotted on the streets of Lekki.

Though both trucks were involved in a minor accident shortly after landing, it didn’t take away from the buzz. For someone who sings about emotions and mood, Omah Lay’s choice of the Cybertruck feels unexpected—but it shows he’s playing on a global level, even with his wheels.

Why the Tesla Cybertruck Is the New Standard for Big Boys in Nigeria

In a country where owning a G-Wagon used to seal your status, the Tesla Cybertruck now brings a whole new level of flex. It’s quiet, tech-heavy, durable enough for Nigerian roads, and rare enough to guarantee stares.

For artists like Burna Boy, Davido, Omah Lay, and Asake, it’s not just about driving electric—it’s about driving a message: I’m ahead of the curve.
