Chief Dele Fajemirokun, a Nigerian billionaire known for his low-key lifestyle, has recently gained attention after being seen at an event with his luxurious Rolls Royce. He is the driving force behind well-known companies like Chicken Republic and AIICO Insurance among others.

Wealth, in his opinion, should result from the creation of tangible goods or services. He believes that individuals should be able to prove the source of their wealth before claiming to be billionaires.

Contrary to popular belief that he was born into wealth, Dele Fajemirokun grew up in a one-room rented apartment in Isale Eko with his parents, siblings, and relatives. This humble upbringing sparked a drive within him to improve his circumstances.

Despite being labelled as “Dele Times, Dele Trouble” due to his mischievous nature as a child, he was considered intelligent by his teachers. He attended Gboluji Grammar School in Ondo State and earned his B.Sc in Business Economics from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University). He also obtained a Doctorate from the University of Los Angeles, USA. According to Fajemirokun, his parents, who were both traders, likely influenced his interest in trading. Additionally, his educational background in Business Economics has also contributed to his success.

Fajemirokun is also a recipient of chieftaincy titles including Bajulaiye of Okeigbo, Ondo State; Bobagunwa of Ifewara, Osun State; Obaluaro of Ado–Ekiti, Ekiti State; Fiwajoye of Ipetu–Modu, Osun State; Amuwajoye of MOPA Kingdom, Kogi State; Chief Atanyese of Ondo Kingdom, Ondo State; Baba Oba of Ifewara, Osun State.
