Today in Nigeria, when people are considering buying a car, they place two things at the heart of their purchase—utility and luxury. However, it happens to be that the Honda Crosstour and the Toyota Venza cars are on the list of cars that meet this need. Still, it feels like even though they were made for these purposes, they still have their differences in what they can offer owners.

While both cars are from Japanese companies, In this article, we compare both cars, so that Nigerian buyers can make their choices on which of these cars is the better choice when buying a new/used car.

The Toyota Venza car shares similarities with the Toyota Camry. If you don’t look closely, you might think it’s a Camry. Perhaps the brand was trying to be a bit careful during production to avoid it looking like the Camry. Still, you’d think it’s a bigger Camry if care isn’t taken.

Utility and practicality are essential factors when it comes to car purchases. Every car owner requires enough space within their car and Toyota understood the assignment when they designed the Toyota Venza, giving it a larger space, large cargo space, and headroom compared to the Honda Crosstour. So, if you are looking for a family car, the Toyota Venza is the right choice.

When buying a car, another thing you should always look out for is the interior quality of the vehicle. How good is the material used to build the car’s interior? Is it something I’ll need to worry about later? If these are things you put into consideration, then the Toyota Venza car is made with interior materials that appear cheaper to the eyes. Where it gets interesting is that the age of its interior material better than that of the Honda Crosstour.

In the Toyota Venza, everything is separated. From the A/C control to the controls, infotainment and gear control, giving it a classier look compared to the Honda Crosstour.

Where both cars share similarities are in their features and tech. They both have SRS airbags, ABS and many more. Yet, the Venza is made with better tech features than the Crosstour, making it easy to be controlled automatically.

The Toyota Venza has a V6 engine that’s the same as the Crosstour. It comes in Front-wheel drive and All-wheel drive options. Still, the Venza drives faster than the Crosstour.

In the tokunbo market, you’ll get the Venza between 6-9 million Naira.

While the Toyota Venza looks a bit conservative in its design, the Honda brand was not having any of that in its design. They went ahead to design the Honda Crosstour, giving it a sportier and edgier look, which makes the car design stand out better than that of the Toyota Venza.

The Honda Crosstour looks longer, but when compared to the insides of the Toyota Venza, you’ll immediately realize that the insides are thinner. What this means is that the Honda Crosstour, unlike the Toyota Venza, will not be able to accommodate more people, have little cargo space and still give occupants maximum space satisfaction.

When it comes to the interior looks, the Honda Crosstour has well-looking interiors compared to the Toyota Venza. Where it gets discouraging is after a period of time using the car, the interior begins to rumble. In that sense, it’s better to go for the Toyota Venza interior than that of the Honda Crosstour.

The A/C, controls, infotainment and gear controls of the Crosstour are scattered across the dashboard, making them look disorganized and less user-friendly compared to the Venza.

The Crosstour shares features and technical similarities with the Venza, although where they differ slightly is in some areas where the Crosstour is not receptive to automatic controls.

The Honda Crosstour comes in a 4-cylinder engine(V6), with the options of either a front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The slow performance of the Crosstour can be likened to the car’s weight as the Venza is lighter compared to it.

The Honda Crosstour is between 4,500,000-6,000,000 Naira in the tokunbo market.

Conclusion

When it comes to Honda and Toyota cars, the reality is that Toyota cars have dominated Nigerian roads making them a much-preferred car by many Nigerians. Still, both Honda and Venza give users the utmost satisfaction. And, if you’re looking for something cheaper, then the Honda Crosstour is the car for you!
